one of the reasons this year may have been i didn’t have time to make a new flyer – so used the ones from last year… and just changed the details.

Hey dave, one of my friends saw a cyREVOLUTION flyer and knew it was from our youth just by looking at it. How weird is that? Do you think it is good or bad? I think good (as long as its well designed as well as recognisable – which i think it is)

The GIMP is just as capable as Photoshop, with one missing feature: CMYK colour spaces for print production. Other than that, it can do all the same things, just not quite as intuitively.

If you want something a little easier to use (arguably), try GIMPShop , which is a front end for The GIMP (actually it’s a standalone app) with all the tools and menus set up to look and feel like PS. And the price is right. Avail. on all platforms.

For Mac users: if you’d like something to quickly resize, chop and even upload photos to a server, try ImageWell . It has all the drag-and-drop functionality you’re used to on the Mac and also costs nothing.

Man, how good is freeware?
