By emphasising one over the other, I believe that we get a distorted message. In "The Future of Evangelicalism", Alastair Macgrath suggested that evangelicalism suffers from a guilt-tripping culture. I don't deny for a second that I am flawed and fallen, but I'd suggest that this truth needs to be balanced against the truth that Jesus died because he believed I was worth saving.
