To Know Your Name

I learnt this song last term while visiting a youth group. It’s been in my head all week.

I love the music. I love the lyrics. I love the Saviour. Here’s the chorus:

I know you gave the world
Your only son for us
To know your name
To live within the Saviour’s love
He took my place
Knowing He´d be crucified
And You loved, You loved
A people undeserving!

Here’s the film clip:

Do you like?

is that charlie from party of 5?
your grace overwhelmed my brokenness. not sure if it’s overwhelms, or leads to brokenness. contrite heart and all that.
clip’s a bit charismaniacal, but that’s just my taste.
    not bad.
you loved a people undeserving i like as well, the knowledge that it’s not all about me, but a redeemed people.
and a technicality, i’d say he took my place as he was crucified - could you say that he took my place in his life? possibly. your mate piper has a good article about jesus being the true israel, the true adam. guess it depends what you mean by it.

maybe i should just not care and put my hands in the air.

I think the clip is more charismatastic than charismaniacal :-)

    Jesus is awesome!

Whenever this song is sung people seem to genuinely respond in praise to God.

    Great clip too

    yay for new words.

good observation on the corporate nature of the song.

Is the female singer Darlene? Man she’s aged if it is.

Like the lyrics a lot - not that big a fan of the music though - but it’s ok…

It’d be interesting to study the camera work of that clip. I’m quite certain there was more to look at than hands.
