Its Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's favourite wife. The story is that my Mum's grandmother used to tell her as a little girl that a relative was one of Queen Victoria's Ladies in waiting. Mum never thought much about it, I guess she thought it was a bit of a tall story she was told to make her feel special until... my uncle who is a bit of a history buff was researching the family tree and worked out that my Mum's family is decended way back from one of Jane Seymour's sisters. While that means I'm not directly blood related to Jane Seymour I guess you can say that she is a a great aunt of sorts!!! In terms of the Lady in Waiting bit to Queen Victoria, Mum now reckons that this is legit, as because her family was in with the royals back in the Henry VIII days it makes sense that they stayed tight with the royals such that another relative was part of Queen Vicky's close posse. So yes you can call me your royal highness if you like!!!!
