Passion World Tour Sydney

The 268 Generation crew are doing a world tour this year with their Passion Conferences. Sydney date: Tuesday October 21 @ the Sydney Entertainment Centre. Regular speakers include Louie Giglio and John Piper. Regular musicians includes: David Crowder Band, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall. I’m not sure who will be coming on tour – but should be a great night!

Passion Sydney

It’s a movement aimed at university speakers. It will be interesting to see how Sydney Anglicans and Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students respond to the event. If John Piper were to speak – they probably wouldn’t have a problem supporting the event, but the last time that Giglio and Tomlin were in the country was for Hillsong Conference 07.

Bring it.

  1. yeah, bring it.

it’s on like donkey kong brother… i took our uni ministry away for the weekend and we watched one of his videos which i thought was quite good! discussions and prayers and the praise afterwards was quite ‘charged’ (tried to find a synonym for passionate!)…

  2. whose video? louie’s?

i’ve read a book by louie and think it was very good.

i’ve also watched a couple of sermons online and found them helpful.

    it’s on like super mario!

  3. It’s in my diary… and I am keen to take my young adults bible study along!

now i don’t have to live through the cd’s I will get my very own passion experience!

  4. I was so stoked to find out that the Passion World Tour is coming to Sydney :) i’m from NZ but will definitely jumping across the ditch to go to it! cant wait. I love my Passion 06 dvd.

Oh & it says on the website that Chris Tomlin & Dave Crowder Band will be there. But yeah, not sure who the speakers are yet, but im pretty sure Louie will be one of them. Would be good to hear John Piper too.

Well one of the exec from the AFES group at my campus has sent out an email to everyone letting people know its on and encouraging people to go so hopefully it won’t be a problem elsewhere.

Should be awesome (not as good as NTE though for any AFES people reading this ;)

And Gial, I’d love to join the group but I’m about the only person I know without Facebook! I’ll be praying anyway though… :)

  6. thanks gail and timmins

i haven’t got tix yet – but am hoping to go.

just in case it wasn’t clear above – I haven’t expressed problems with the event – just wondering how others would view it…

    it’s all about Jesus.
