Break it Down #12

Hey blog dogs. Slow on the posting front lately. I’ve been: hanging with my family; tweeting like a ninja; making websites (stay tuned for a major pimping out of my design portfolio with projects from this year…); rockin’ out at weddings; and chillin’ with lots of homies. Seth Godin on the tribes we lead

Seth Godin is one of my favourite bloggers. He’s an entrepreneur and internet marketing ninja. I regularly read and link to him. Here’s his talk from TED earlier this year:

“Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so.”

This gear is really valuable in thinking through church, gathering people, church planting, movements and the like. Download his book “Tribes” in audiobook format for free.

Goodbye June 09 | Hello July 09

The life-changing ‘Goodbye Hello‘ continues again this month… July is normally crazy camp season, but I’ve said no to crazy camps to spend time at home and have a crazy camp with Row and Sam. VERY good times. They are both doing well. I’ve also been doing some design work. Here’s the smashing magazine desktop calendar I’ve chosen for July:
