LOOK UP // A MUST-SEE SPOKEN WORD FILM FOR AN ONLINE GENERATION

Look Up is a lesson taught to us through a love story, in a world where we continue to find ways to make it easier for us to connect with one another, but always results in us spending more time alone.”

What a challenging video from Gary Turk! I argue in Bread & Circuses that we can so easily become enslaved to food and entertainment that we become distracted from reality. The answer to the problem raised in the video is more than put down your phone and look up. The ultimate answer is to see what truly satisfies and to see things from an eternal perspective.

  1. This literally brought me to tears. I’ve seen the video going round on my newsfeed but hadn’t watched it til clicking on your link. I think what made me so sad is like you say – the idea of life without real relationships and experience is no life at all. But a life without following Jesus and knowing our Heavenly Father is truly the most futile and empty experience.
Like anything how we approach and manage social media is key and I for one am so grateful to God for giving me access to a tool that connects me with my family & friends thousands of miles away. But for my friends and family here I do and will make sure I ‘look up’ from my screen and up to the Heavens xx

    1. hey anna, thanks for your comment.
i think you’ve identified one of the big conundrums with social media… so amazing for connecting with loved ones on the other side of the world! so many amazing things that can be done. but like all good things, it’s easy to be mastered by it.
      keep your eyes up :)
