Evangelist Billy Graham has preached about the cross to millions of people around the world—and now he brings the timeless message of hope and redemption in Jesus Christ to the world once more. “With all my heart I want to leave you with the truth that He loves you and wants to forgive you of your sins.” This is the third (see part 1 here and part 2 here) in a series of special programs for My Hope with Billy Graham on his 95th birthday. This is my favourite one. It also features a powerful story from Lecrae. (Click here if you can’t see it)

Official film clip of “Confe$$ions” from Lecrae’s album Gravity:
I really love the Ecclesiastes-esque themes in this track.
Here’s a few lines:
I know some people with mo’ money than we’ll ever see
Ever see someone buy a private island they never see?
Ever see every sea on yo’ own personal yacht?
Take jog around yo’ block that you bought from selling your stock?
Not.
In this lifetime, some of them my potna’s
They don’t believe in karma, but they believe in commas
And they believe they dollas’ for a peace o’ mind
Put a price upon they head and they’d be fine with that fine
Cause you find when you can buy the park, you can hate the rides
They was fun in the beginning, now it seems they not as thrillin’
And you out make a killin’, but it never feels fulfillin’
So, they call me tell me “Crae, this how I’m feelin’.”

Lecrae’s New Album – REHAB: THE OVERDOSE
REHAB from Lecrae is my favourite album from 2010. Brilliant. Each track is packed full of encouragement to live a counter-cultural life. He has a follow up album coming out on 11 Jan 11. Can’t wait! Here’s the press release from Reach Records:
Around every corner is the lure to consume. A desire to be satisfied. Unfortunately no human being has found anything under the sun that brings satisfaction. So we consume more, and more, and more. Eventually, we overdose. However, there is hope–if Christianity is our Rehab. In Jesus, satisfaction can be found. Grace, love, peace and hope can be found…and there is always more. Consume more of Jesus. Overdose.
Rehab: The Overdose officially hits stores and online outlets 11.1.11. Promo video:
Lecrae – Background Ft. C-Lite Video
Lecrae’s new album Rehab has been on repeat for the last 2 weeks. Unbelievable! So encouraged by the counter-cultural challenge of the album. Rap and Hip-Hop is all about me: fast cars for me; big biceps for me; lots of girls for me; the world revolves around me! Not so with Lecrae’s album. It has the repeated idea of turning from the idol of self; that is, the world doesn’t revolve around me. Check out film clip of ‘Background’:
