If you want to make a website, go to wordpress.com and set one up for free. It’s easy. If you’ve done that and want greater flexibility, buy some web-hosting from bluehost and upload your own template. There are 100s and 1000s of free templates available for wordpress. Some a pretty average. The best way to sift through them all is to:
- Pay for a premium template. Start here for some good ones
- Check out the new gallery of 100 free themes over at Smashing Mag
I may be wrong – but aren’t most of these themes for wordpress.org rather than wordpress.com – and inaccessible for those using the .com side of things… or at least much more difficult to implement. It’s been a while since I’ve used .com…
hey nathan
(you went into spam for some reason)
the 1st line of the blog post is about wordpress.com ones.
then the rest is about wordpress.org ones (i just didn’t use that terminology)
sorry if it wasn’t clear.
so anyone else reading, have a play with wordpress.com
then if you’re adventurous, do what i’ve said above!!
peaceout
Or be brave and jump into Drupal! (www.drupal.org) :P
it’s harder to use isn’t it?
