Sam Mak and Ruth Lee are two of my favourite people on this planet. They are also two of the most faithful hardworking servants behind the RICE MOVEMENT. After this year’s RICE RALLY I did an impromptu interview with them. I’m a little scatterbrained in it – but they give some really encouraging answers. Check it:
In our youth community – SOULIES – we have a desire to LOVE JESUS; LOVE JESUS’ PEOPLE; and LOVE JESUS’ WORLD. We figure there are two key ways that we can LOVE JESUS’ WORLD: Evangelism and Social Justice (or Acts of Compassion or Mercy Ministries…). The following is a short video we put together in response to BLANKET project we did in Term 2 and a bunch of little projects we did in Term 3. Check it:
I’m so encouraged by the love oozing from our youth community. Our prayer is that it wouldn’t just be about one-off projects but would overflow into a life of showing care, comfort and compassion to those in need.
I’d be interested to hear how other youth ministries help their young crew to grow in love and compassion…

XV gives a bite-sized snippet of 15 key movements throughout the storyline of the Bible. I think it will be a brilliant resource for anyone who wants to know the big picture of the Bible better. The app itself is well-designed and simple to navigate. Get on it.
