Crusaders are a Christian organisation working in ACT and NSW who are all about “sharing Jesus with a new generation.” They operate conference centres, holiday camps, school camps and schools ministry.

I’ve spoken on a number of Crusaders Holiday camps, schools events and leaders training events. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share some reasons why Cru Camps are excellent!

1/ High Quality Activities
The activities on Crusaders camps are high quality and lots of fun. Sailing, dirt bikes, horse riding, surfing, and even study camps. I spoke on a Crusaders Ski and Snowboard camp for 5 years… now that was fun!
2/ Culturally Relevant Gospel Presentation
Crusaders have a reputation for engaging young people in a culturally relevant way with the good news of Jesus. They don’t make the gospel relevant, but rather show the relevance of the gospel to the next generation.
3/ Cru Camps Are Life-Changing
At every camp young lives are changed! Many young people put their trust in Christ for the first time on a Crusaders camp. Likewise, those already Christian are strengthened in their faith and have a great place they can invite friends along to learn more.
4/ Leadership Opportunities
Crusaders have excellent training for leaders. This happens through training days, leadership camps and on-the-job training as a junior leader.
5/ Integrity Of The Organisation
Child protection is a significant and important part of all ministry. Crusaders take the safety of children very seriously. This is shown through safe ministry policies, police checks and appropriate training for all leaders. I’ve known lots of great people who have worked for Crusaders over the years and have no hesitation encouraging people to be part of their camps!
