#INSTALIFEWEEKLY // 14 OCTOBER 2014

#instalifeweekly

I’ve had a bit of writers block lately with blog posts and some other projects. So I’ve been enjoying taking pictures a bit more often. Below is a collection of my instagram shots from the last week. There are more Melbourne-centric posts and I’ve enjoyed exploring a new city!

See below for the latest #instalifeweekly…

// REMEMBER MERCY —– “O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.” (HABAKKUK 3:2) —– #LORD #God #Remember #Mercy #Melbourne #MelbLyf #MiersMelbourne #sunset #train

// MARSHMALLOW LAST —– Enjoying new family rhythms in Melbourne. Including coffee/warm chocolate one morning a week with Sam and then dropping him at pre-school via train. —– #coffee #cafe #warmchocolate #marshmallow #family #Melbourne #MelbLyf #MiersMelbourne

// THE KITCHEN —– I had the privilege of visiting ‘The Kitchen’ today. It’s part of MANY ROOMS, which is a ministry of City on a Hill seeking to care for people in need in Melbourne. I played cards with 3 blokes, listened as 1 lady shared her long term grief with me, and got to talk about God with each of them. The Kitchen provides breakfast and lunch every Saturday served by an army of church volunteers. The director, Jim, gave a short talk before lunch and his care for people is obvious. —– #ManyRooms #CityonaHillMELB #Mercy #Melbourne #MelbLyf #TakeLove

// SEARCHING FOR WAVES —– Yesterday was the first time I’ve seen a coastline for 5 weeks!! Couldn’t find any waves. It may not be as beautiful as Northern Beaches of Sydney, but it’s probably a little more family friendly… if you can brave subarctic water! —– #Melbourne #MelbLyf #MiersMelbourne #MelbourneBeaches #NoWaves #Parkdale #Beach #Water

// ENJOYING GOD IS BETTER —– “God is the highest good of the reasonable creature. The enjoyment of him is our proper; and is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Better than fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of any, or all earthly friends. These are but shadows; but the enjoyment of God is the substance. These are but scattered beams; but God is the sun. These are but streams; but God is the fountain. These are but drops, but God is the ocean.” (JONATHAN EDWARDS, quoted in @ncoombs #cityonahillmelb sermon) —– #Melbourne #MelbLyf #MiersMelbourne #Docklands #sunset #quotes #VSCO #vscocam
