Humans are so superficial. If someone doesn’t fit a certain celebrity stereotype, we write them off. Paul Potts and Susan Boyle were a bit awkward and/or uncool, so we were shocked by their amazing performances on Britain’s Got Talent. Michael Collings is the latest ordinary person to rebuke our superficiality! Click here to check out his recent performance.
Cool story. Ordinary fella. (Even though he’s playing a cheap Ashton!) he’s got some mean skills on the guitar and an amazing voice. Boom!

ps – david hasslehoff is one of the judges… don’t hassle the hoff!
Yeah he’s playing an Ashton OM35SEQ – This is in fact an awesome guitar. My mate has one of those and he prefers it over his Tanglewood at more than twice the price – I am thinking about getting one of them ever since i saw it won the award for the best guitar in one of the Uk mags a couple of years ago – Does anyone know where to buy the Ashton OM35SEQ in the UK?
ok then, i take back my comment! haha
i have an ashton, it’s cheap and crap.
the only ashton’s i’ve seen in music stores in australia have been pretty sketchy too!
go well finding the OM35SEQ in the UK!
In my opinion, he is utter sh*t, not only did he destroy a great Weller song, he is now performing the same song from his audition, and he is even worse!
i don’t reckon he’s utter sh*t, but i think you’re right that it was a dumb move singing the same song in the final.
i think it was better in the audition – much more raw, and his tracksuit the first time was a pretty choice selection!
here’s the vid for those who haven’t seen it:
