i think i’ve played this song 20 times this week!!
Song of 2009. Some cool shots of NY in the clip too!
true dat.
Hey y’all this is my first time checking out this site & it has really gold Christian things on it… so when I came across this video I was curious t know why was this even on here… I have my personal convictions when it comes to listening to music that doesnt glorify God in general much less when it comes frm artist who clearly don’t lives a Christian lifestyle..
Pay attention 3:07 into da song Jay-Z says “Jesus Can’t save u, life begins when the church ends.”
Umm… ok. That’s not true! JESUS DIED & SHED HIS BLOOD ON DA CROSS TO SAVE THE WHOLE WORLD OF ITS SIN PROBLEM, THEN HE ROSE PROVING THAT HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS…
but according to jay-z he can’t ..? This is wht he is preaching right after he talks abt women who sleeps around & allow men to use her..
I hope this helps some1..
With love… Bobby
hey bobby.
thanks for dropping by.
appreciate your comment.
i’m not going to try and defend the lyrics from jay-z or his lifestyle. me posting the song does not mean i agree with everything it says.
i think you can appreciate different art forms regardless of whether the artist is Christian or not.
to be honest, i’m not sure what jay-z is preaching. as he describes the woman who sleep around and the beliefs about Jesus – i’m not sure if that’s his sermon – or if he’s preaching the sermon of new york. ie – here is what new york believes and stands for.
i’m not sure.
JESUS DIED & SHED HIS BLOOD ON DA CROSS TO SAVE THE WHOLE WORLD OF ITS SIN PROBLEM, THEN HE ROSE PROVING THAT HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS…
and also for the record, i think reach records (lecrae etc) are putting out amazing albums that young people all over the world should listen to for encouragement and Jesus-glorifying lyrics!!!!
see the many posts i’ve done on them here: http://davemiers.com/tag/reach-records/
thanks again for the comments… i hope you come back again some time.
