Still my Dream Girl

Rowena and I celebrated 5 years of marriage yesterday with a lovely dinner at Ripples, Chowder Bay. I’m not sure if it’s because we’ve been married for 5 years, or because we’re now closer to 30 than 25, but we have started to enjoy listening to VEGA 95.3. If you’re not familiar with VEGA, they define themselves as a station for 40s and 50s!!

Marriage is about Jesus. I pray ours would reflect this reality.

  1. Mate, congrats on the 5 years. Awesome to hear that you are more in love now than 5 years ago.
Sermon on Luther was preached 3 times. 8:30- went pretty well. 10- could have gone better, wasn’t getting much joy from the congregation. 6- was really happy with this one, and what’s better, my next door neighbor came along and is thinking of coming back. Overall, thankful to God for his grace, and for calling Martin Luther…
    Matt.

  2. Congrats guys. Praying God will continue to help you put each other first.

We wake up to Vega cos they do traffic and weather at the six o’clock news otherwise it’d be TripleJ.

  3. Congratulations. We got married in that building at Chowder Bay before it became Ripples, we went there for my hubby’s bday too, the food was yummo. How beautiful is it there! VERY!

  4. Mark, Matt, Ben, Mattt, CJ, Anon (I know who you are!) and Nixter… thanks for the comments!

matt – glad the sermon went well. super-cool about your neighbour!

mattt – i’m still a jjj listener – just been in the mood for some old school lately!!!

nixter – we really liked the place. there’s some nice restaurants around mosman/crows nest etc… but we liked the quietness of chowder. was your reception day or night? it would be a nice place to go for the overlap of arvo into night!!

  5. WSFM is better than Vega for old school, but you can never turn your back on the J’s.
